Project overview
Founded in 2009, Lavender Medical specialises in the supply and distribution of osteosynthesis products to the orthopaedic community. Since its establishment, the company has experienced consistent growth, expanding both its workforce and operational capacity. To support this continued development, investment in a larger, more functional premises became essential.
A new warehouse unit was acquired to accommodate the increasing demand for office space and enhanced storage facilities. The project began with a complete strip-out of the existing office areas, creating a blank canvas for redevelopment. A substantial jumbo partition wall was then constructed to divide the warehouse into two distinct operational zones, ensuring a clear separation between office and storage functions while maximising workflow efficiency.
The new office fit-out included the installation of all-new electrical containment systems, power distribution, energy-efficient lighting, and structured data cabling infrastructure. In addition, modifications were carried out to the existing power and upgraded LED lighting, emergency lighting systems within the warehouse to integrate seamlessly with the new layout and ensure compliance with building regulations.
The existing two-zone fire alarm system was carefully adapted and extended throughout the premises. This included the installation of additional smoke detectors and manual call points to suit the revised configuration. Upon completion, the system was fully tested and recommissioned to guarantee reliability and regulatory compliance.
To support the building’s environmental control requirements, new electrical supplies were installed for multiple air conditioning condenser units, a heat recovery ventilation unit, and a large three-phase high-level heater within the warehouse. These installations ensure a comfortable and controlled environment for staff.
The completed project has provided Lavender Medical with a modern, scalable facility designed to support their continued growth and operational excellence.
Even with multiple variations to the original design. The project was completed on time by ensuring extra labour from our workforce were on site when necessary.
