With the availability issues we have encountered with other mainstay trunking and conduit suppliers, we took a trip to Vienna to view the manufacture of a less well known make in this country and to see what they can offer us.
I found the trip to be informative and a somewhat brow raising experience, as I found looking through the factory that some of our mainstream manufacturers are already getting their material from this company and rebranding it.
This gives us an opportunity to reduce our cost by a few points which is good for the business and our clients.
It was also great to see a family run business of four generations, where they all had a palpable excitement and passion for their industry (it was the biggest thing I took from the whole visit).
We had dinner with the grandfather who is 94 and still goes into the office and still drives!! Now you could say he’s nuts or you could say he’s awesome but either way it’s amazing.
